Still, the year is not over and there are new “issues” the media and showbiz writers keep bringing about. Sarah Geronimo is the star of a new series aired on ABS-CBN. The show is IDOL, a musical teleserye about Billie/Jean about to be a big star together with her childhood friend and singing partner, Vince, played by Sam Milby. People cannot help but compare it to Glee and that it pales in comparison. Production-wise, I think so. I cannot say much about Glee because I do not watch it. I can only say that I was disappointed with how the story went (in IDOL) because of my preconceived idea that it is a light drama-comedy-musical and it turns out that it is not. I blame it on the promo teasers. It was misleading. Anyhow, it is hard to make a musical drama, a TV musical drama. It works in theater plays, but doing it on TV is not the same thing. As of the present time, the verdict is already out: IDOL will end this week. It’s a good thing they did not cut it abruptly. There is still a resolution of the story. On a positive note, the casts’ acting are good. It’s just the story, it’s heavy for a supposed musical drama–at least for a musical drama that everyone has in mind, which is a fun musical drama. Ooohh.. another positive note is that the songs are all OPM!! For other people, it would be negative, but for me, it’s a definite positive!

Random Thoughts Issue N01 April 08, 2010

It’s been so long since I’ve visited my own blog. Haizz!

Anywho, I’m bored and I thought “what the heck” so I logged on. Great!

I’ve been browsing for news and some of them caught my interest, so to speak. LOL!

Apparently, Ricky Martin is gay…. WHAAAAAATTT! Since when? APPARENTLY, since a long time ago. Oooookaay! So what happened to Daisy Fuentes affair? Nada? Were they just friends? Hmmmm… I’m not updated. Sorry naman. He has cute twins, though. Good for him. I just thought all those macho wannabees would say, “I told you so!” HAHA. Nevermind. He is still hot though. Let the man enjoy his “freedom” and being a father.

Bb. Pilipinas-Universe was dethroned due to “falsification of legal document.” Naks! Bigat naman ng words. Actually, they falsified her birth certificate. It said her parents are both Filipinos and place of birth is in the Philippines. NOT TRUE. What were they thinking? Thay they could get away with it? Fat chance. Sucks to be her.

That was weeks ago anyway.

Oooooohh! I went to Changing Lives: Timbaland Shock Value Tour II Manila Concert!!!!!! AAAAAHHHH!! Can’t get over it. So many people, about 80,000 people attended that concert which also featured Jojo and… JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE!! 80,000 is just a guestimate since some said it was 70,000, 80,000, and 85,000. My feet hurt a lot. We stood there for almost two hours before the concert started. There were some DJs speaking before in which I wasn’t really listening. I recognized the voices of KC Montero, Sarah Meier, Ramon Bautista, and Marc Abaya. Don’t know who the other girl is. They spoke of the SmaRT Foundation and the people who will benefit the proceeds of the concert. ONE (the singing group of Philippine All Stars) performed a couple of songs including the only song I know from them called “Mainit.” I’m not sure if Q-York was there. Couldn’t see from afar (Silver ticket- nasa unahan naman kami kaya okay na rin ) Timbaland’s DJ played some music to hype the people and bring some energy. Problem is we’re already tired from standing and waiting. Grrr!

Then Timbaland or Timbo, as others would call him, came out and so the party started. YEAH! He played and sang his songs from Shock Value II album (obviously!) which includes Can You Feel It with his brother, Sebastian and If We Ever Meet Again which brought the club-like atmosphere and people singing along (and some more, could not recall all of them). He also performed Morning After Dark and Apologize and “Carry Out” with JT providing the backing vocals. At that time, JT was still at the backstage but people knew it was him so the fangirls and fanboys did what they do best. Screaming!! Haha! The tired crowd was suddenly pumped with energy, anticipating JT’s appearance. He performed “Until the End of time,” What Goes Around Comes Around, etc. All in all, it was amazing and I enjoyed the concert a lot. It goes without saying that it was at least a month ago. Just trying to recall recent happennings in my otherwise boring life.

Favorite TV program recently is the PILIPINAS GOT TALENT. Current favorites are ALAKIM and JOVIT BALDIVINO. Yes, I shamelessly voted for them. LOL!

PGT judges sucK! Not all the time though. Sometimes they have sensible comments but most of the time useless.

I love Sarah Geronimo but I don’t like her endorsing politicians.

I can’t wait for the Sarah Geronimo and Judy Ann Santos movie entitled “Hating Kapatid.” I hope it’s good because I’m not a fan of the director. Hmp!

I watched Iron Man 2 yesterday and I was not disappointed…….. much! Just a little bit. Really, just a little. I’m just wondering if I missed out the end part. The real end part after the credits because I did not wait for it? Is there?

Is there something wrong with me if I find Robert Downey, Jr. hot. I was actually surprised that I did. He’s near my father’s age.. Oh well…… he’s hot period!

Bad boys are hot…. sometimes.

Rich bad boys are hot… not all the time though.

Oh yeah… I freaking heart Tony Stark and Bruce Wayne!!!
